Calling All Green American Photographers

Green America is building a new website, and we’d like to feature your photos, from fellow Green Americans. What better way to visually depict a just and sustainable world than real photos taken by real people.

Whether you’re an established or budding photographer, here’s a great chance to show off your skills and see your photos in use professionally.

All you need to do is:

  1. Shoot or find your photos showing people living our shared values for an environmentally sustainable and socially just world. See suggestions for subjects  below.
  2. Join our Flickr group “Green Americans’ Photos”.
  3. Add your photos to our Flickr group.

Examples of topics to capture include:

  • Building/celebrating community (e.g. gardening, potlucks, rallies)
  • Clean energy
  • Organic food
  • Fair labor
  • Responsible finance (e.g. lending, investing)
  • Green businesses
  • Green living

Examples of what we think are powerful images that you can use as a guide are:

Ready? Join our Flickr group and then add your photos to the group.

If you don’t have a Flickr account, you can email your photos to webster@greenamerica.org with subject line “Photos”.

We’ll contact you if we choose to use your photos.

We look forward to seeing your wonderful photos. Thank you for playing a part in building our new website!
